Types of Class Action Lawsuits

Right-of-Way Class Action Lawsuits:  Our class action representation includes over 70 cases on behalf of landowners whose property was used for fiber optic cable corridors by railroads and telecommunication companies without proper compensation to the landowners.

Pharmaceutical and Prescription Drug Class Actions:  We have represented individuals and their families for injuries and death caused by exposure to and use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs.  Learn more about our current pharmaceutical and prescription drug cases and investigations.

Medical Device Class Actions:  We have provided representation to members of the health profession who suffer from severe latex allergies as a result of using defective latex gloves. We also represent class members in the Guidant and Medtronic heart defibrillator cases.

Personal Injury Multidistrict and Class Actions:  We have represented hemophiliacs who contracted AIDS from defective Factor 8 blood products contaminated with the HIV virus produced by Bayer Corporation.  We were selected to try the first case that went to trial after several years of discovery.  After a seven and one half week trial we won a large verdict for the family of the young man who lost his life as a result of this defective medical product.

Financial Damage Class Actions:  Representation of mortgage holders against several mortgage companies for holding too much money in the mortgage holders' escrow account.

Property Owner Class Actions:  Representation of property owners who were damaged when the release of a toxic chemical resulted in a massive fish kill in the White River. Class action for homeowners whose roofs were damaged in a hail storm and their insurance company refused to compensate them.  Home owners who were discriminated against by the City in Barrett Law sewer charges.
