Don’t Text and Drive: It’s the Law

Like many other states, Indiana law states:

  • Drivers younger than 18 are banned from texting and cell phone usage.
  • All drivers, regardless of age, are banned from text messaging while driving.

Distracted driving laws allow punitive damages to be awarded in cases in which someone has been seriously injured or killed due to distracted driving.
